With mindfulness, the time is now.
If you want to learn mindfulness meditation, but have held back because of social anxiety, this may be your time.
We are starting a small, intimate group limited to 7 participants. Most groups have 10, 15, even 25 participants.
Help for Social Anxiety
This workshop is designed for those with negative thinking that leads to emotional distress. This may take the form of depression, anxiety, or….. social anxiety. The group also is helpful for those with low self-esteem.
In this workshop you are encouraged to participate, but only to the extent that you choose in the moment. You will be asked, all the time, to increase your personal awareness of sensations in your body, of your emotions, and of your particular thoughts. And we will give you specific mindfulness tools to help you do that.
While the main focus of this workshop is negative thinking, depression and anxiety, many people with social anxiety have benefitted. Here’s a link to an article in Forbes explaining how this works.
The morning group, led by Brynn Wallace, and meeting 9 am – 11 am Tuesdays, is the one best suited for those with social anxiety.
Includes full evidence-based, Mindfulness Workshop
We include the full content of the 8-week Mindfulness Workshop, also called Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. The group will include some people with social anxiety, and also others. The common factors are negative thinking and harsh-self criticism.
